Overview

Kareri Lake is a high-altitude, freshwater lake in the Dhauladhar range and is also known for being the favorite trekking destination in this area. The lake remains frozen in winters and when the snow melts it serves as the source of the lake and a stream. Lake is frozen from December to March April. There is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva on hill overlooking the lake. A trip to Kareri lake is thus definitely not worth a miss, especially for trekars and nature lover. Hikers carry own tents and camps to stay besides the lake.
